The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, between Saturday to Thursday 07:45 - 16:45; Friday 07:45 - 15:45. There is a requirement to work 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.

Amey supports His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing safe, clean and efficient prisons across 60 secure premises in England and Wales.
What You Will Do
* Planned and preventative electrical maintenance.
* Respond to breakdowns ensuring all work is carried out under the Safe System of Work and in a timely manner.
* Active fault finding and problem solving on domestic electrical systems within the prison environment.
* Undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with the provided design and IET Wiring Regulations.
* Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations.
* Monitor and order critical spares for all electrical services.
* Other tasks as required by the Site.
What You Will Bring
* Ability to work alone and use initiative.
* Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
* Capable of working at heights.
* Appropriate technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above).
* BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition (will sponsor upgrade from 17th Edition; terms apply).
* Experience of electrical maintenance, general distribution and installation and testing in a commercial environment.
* Experience in fire alarm systems and CCTV systems.
* IT skills.
