Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer to join their team in Swadlincote.

Position
Job Title: Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer, Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer, 36 months
Location: Swadlincote – national travel may be required.
Working Hours: Monday‑Friday 8am-5pm; weekend and out‑of‑hours work may be required depending on project needs.
£10.50 per hour

Our client is one of the UK’s leading telecommunications rigging companies, working with many of the country’s major Mobile Network Operators. Due to continued growth, they are seeking motivated, reliable individuals to join their team as Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineers/Riggers.

As an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer/Rigger, you’ll work as part of an experienced field team delivering projects across the UK. The role is hands‑on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Working as part of a team on nationwide telecoms projects
* Assisting with installation and rigging works on telecoms sites
* Adapting to changing site conditions and last‑minute changes
* Identifying and helping solve on‑site challenges
* Maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
What You’ll Learn
* Working safely at height and using fall‑arrest equipment
* Understanding of telecoms rigging and antenna systems
* Basic electrical principles, testing, and certification
* Health & Safety, RF awareness, and first aid at height
* Reading and following technical drawings
* Quality assurance and environmental awareness
* Teamwork, communication, and leadership skills

Requirements
* Hardworking, reliable, and conscientious attitude
* Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly
* Comfortable working at height
* Willingness to work away from home when required
* Previous hands‑on or site‑based experience is an advantage, but not essential
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* Grade A*-C / 4 or higher in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
