Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Function: Quality Engineering

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)

Location(s): Glenrothes (onsite with some flexibility for hybrid working)

Security Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain UK SC clearance.

What You Will Do

5. Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
6. Primary authority on all quality related matters on the assigned programme(s) / area of responsibility.
7. Writing and reviewing Quality Plans, reports and plans.
8. Conduct Quality Audits (Internal product / product release / process) across the business areas.
9. Ensure effective & timely closure of actions received from Audit Non-Conformances, customer complaints and internal findings.
10. Diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities identified internally and externally. RCCA and Non-Conformance Management
11. Providing advice to the Business Area Lead and all Program Leads on the quality aspects of the work being undertaken.
12. Quality support to the technical design organization and Engineering program reviews.
13. Independent assurance on compliance with standards, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and creating necessary quality documentation
14. Perform the quality activities within the Programs in support of the Design activities, respective Quality Assurance Plans i.e. First Article Inspections, Source Inspections, support to Quality Assurance Working Groups, checks on incoming and outgoing products i.e. Certificates of Conformance.

Your Skills:

15. Ability to review & interpret technical drawings and/or test
16. Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
17. Thorough problem solving to ensure the programs can meet their needs whilst still achieving the agreed quality requirements.
18. Proactive approach to risk reduction to prevent & resolve issues and remove non-value add processes
19. Sound communication with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels and technical SMEs.
20. Analyse Quality data and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and preventative action initiatives to reduce quality costs, through the implementation of mistake proofing.
21. Coaching and guiding other team members and stakeholders in the needs of the business from a QA perspective.
22. Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies
23. Proactive approach to risk reduction, preventing & resolving issues to remove waste from processes.
24. Promote continuous Improvement, through best practice, problem solving & education.

It would be great if you also have:

25. ISO Auditor Trained or Knowledge of Standards ISO9001 and or AS9100
26. Experience within Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering Organisation
27. Knowledge of PPAP, AQAPs
28. Effective facilitation skills
