JOB SUMMARY:
The role of Commis Chef is a critical part of the Kitchen. This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to support the smooth day-to-day running of the operational service at our Riverside Bar & Restaurant venue. A responsible individual who takes absolute pride in their contribution to the team regarding food preparation and presentation for our customers. The Commis Chef will support the day to day running of the kitchen to encompass the service, safety and high standards set.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting in the food preparation for both our Muddy Oar bar, Gallery Kitchen Restaurant & outdoor catering facilities.
Pride in maintaining standards of cleanliness and food/drink safety.
Setting up and serving food at events/ conferences.
Carry out any other ad-hoc duties or reasonable management requests when required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Professional Kitchen experience desirable, but not essential as full hands-on training will be provided.
Food Hygiene certificates and Health and Safety Regulations desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
SKILLS: Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, keeping a calm head when under pressure.
Able to work on ones own initiative and also as part of a team.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Pride in providing a presentable working area and demonstrating high levels of customer service & a positive attitude.
Ability to take food orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service and positive attitude.
