Responsibilities
:
- Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Performing risk, value management and cost control
- Advising on procurement strategy and contract administration
-Monitoring project progress, ensuring costs remain in line with budgets
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Collaborating with project teams to drive commercial performance
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- (Senior QS) Mentoring junior team members and supporting commercial leadership
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying (main contractor or consultancy background considered)
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Experience working across residential, defence, or similar sectors (e.g., education, healthcare) desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in construction contracts and cost management processes
Full UK driving licence (due to site travel)
