Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Camberwell
Pay Rate £88- £110 per day
A vibrant and happy two-form entry Primary school based in Camberwell SE5, are in need of a Special Needs teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD. The role will start ASAP and continue on a permanent basis.
Job Description
The ideal Special Needs teaching assistant will have previous experience working with pupils with Autism. The pupil has no behaviour difficulties but requires guidance to remain focused on the tasks assigned by the teacher as well as some assistance with personal care.
The ideal Special Needs teaching assistant will be able to provide emotional support as the pupil can become distressed easily, so patience is key for the role. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate strong relationship-building skills as a SEND teaching assistant and the ability to raise levels of Numeracy and Literacy.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
