Rutherford Cross is working with an established, fast‑growing business to appoint a Group Finance Manager. Working within an ambitious, sustainability‑driven business, this is a key role offering significant scope to influence processes, systems, and reporting across the Group. This organisation has doubled in scale in recent years and plans to do so again over the next five. As the company continues to expand organically and through acquisition, the finance team is investing in new systems, strengthening financial controls, and enhancing the quality of group-wide reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to shape that journey. The Role Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Group Finance Manager will take ownership of core finance policies, Group consolidation, and subsidiary-level accounts preparation. Key elements of the role include: Leading the monthly Group consolidation process and delivering a new online consolidation & financial planning system Managing board reporting, Group overhead reviews, and monthly management accounts Preparing statutory accounts for Group and subsidiaries Overseeing Group and subsidiary audits Designing and implementing accounting processes for newly acquired businesses Working closely with business partners to support commercial insight and performance understanding Managing core tax compliance activities (corporation tax, VAT, and others) Supporting wider Group projects and driving continuous improvement across finance Leading and developing a small team The Individual: The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong post‑qualification experience and a background in both technical accounting and Group reporting. You will bring: Excellent IFRS technical knowledge Experience managing audits and statutory accounts Strong understanding of tax compliance Proven ability to implement financial controls, processes, and systems Systems implementation or ERP experience Strong commercial acumen and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders Leadership capability, with experience coaching or managing others Strong Excel and IT skills A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach, with the confidence to challenge and influence What’s on Offer: Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 Hybrid working Bonus: Up to 10% Annual leave: 25 days public holidays Life assurance (3× salary) Workplace pension Professional membership fees paid This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven finance professional to join a business that is investing heavily in its future and its people.
