Contract: 9-month Fixed-Term Contract with the potential to extend (maternity cover)

Haymarket is a successful international specialist media company with over 60 market-leading brands. The Awards & Forums team is responsible for delivering over 50 annual B2B events, including awards ceremonies, forums, and networking events.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Events Manager to deliver 5-6 events varying in size, complexity, calendar positioning, and budget. The ability to multi-task and run events concurrently is essential.
Responsibilities
1. Project Oversight: Manage project timelines and marketing plans; act as the project lead in decision-making across the portfolio.
2. Budget Management: Manage P&L across the portfolio, striving to meet financial targets.
3. Achieving Revenue Targets: Oversee call for entries and ticket sales to meet financial and volume targets.
4. Venue/Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate confidently with suppliers and confirm costs within the budget.
5. Event Attendance: Attend events to ensure delivery meets Haymarket standards.
6. Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including venues, suppliers, judges, and speakers.
7. Sustainability: Drive continual improvement in event sustainability and ensure adherence to SEMS processes.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria
Essential:
* 3+ years experience in large-scale awards and/or B2B events.
* Understanding of budget management and P&L oversight.
* Knowledge of event marketing strategies and best practices.
* Established relationships with key suppliers in the events industry.
* Experience in venue management and health & safety procedures.
* Ability to drive revenue growth and deliver successful events.
* Excellent written and spoken English with keen attention to detail.
Desirable:
* Degree in Hospitality/Event Management or relevant discipline.
* Knowledge of Evessio or similar awards management software.
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
