We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly qualified dementia specialist nurse to join Avery Healthcare as the Head of Memory Care Services.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Director of Quality you will be leading a small team of memory care specialist practitioners. You will work with colleagues from different departments across the organisation in providing subject matter expertise in all aspects of contemporary relationship-centred dementia care. A confident practitioner, you will be joining a fast-paced working environment with national travel and remote working to meet the needs of our 102 services as we are embracing new ways of working including the use of AI to enhance the quality of life of our residents.
Other responsibilities include
1. To Develop and support the implementation of person centred, effective memory care systems and practises across the group utilising data, and the resident experience to monitor effectiveness
2. Work with colleagues to demonstrate effective care systems and a positive approach to memory care through the delivery of training and coaching
3. Provide expert advice and knowledge build upon a whole home approach to person cantered dementia care with a focus on community engagement and relative inclusion and support

Our ideal candidate must:
4. Be a registered nurse level 1 or relevant qualification
5. 5 years experience working in dementia care
6. Experience of effective leadership and development
7. Proven experience of working as part of a team to get results, to improve service outcomes and clinical outcomes
