We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide hands-on support at customer locations. This role requires deep knowledge of both software and hardware configurations of physical systems, along with proficiency in the company's software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Excellent written and presentation skills.
* Strong verbal communication skills to support users of varying proficiency levels.
* Relevant experience in technical ICT roles.
* Experience installing and configuring computer hardware, networks, domain accounts, and troubleshooting user and hardware issues.
* Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2018) and virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
* Understanding of server and network infrastructure configuration and operation.
* Good knowledge of hardware and software specifications.
* Ability to travel within the UK and overseas to customer sites.
Experience
* Solid education background in IT and experience in an IT environment.
* Understanding of ICT issues, operating systems, software, data management, and hardware/services evaluation.
* Experience in cable management, termination, and limitations.
* Basic civil engineering skills.
* Customer-facing experience.
* Ability to coordinate with internal departments and personnel at all levels.
* Effective time management to meet tight deadlines.
