This role is central to ensuring the financial integrity and commercial success of complex, high-value projects that have real-world significance.
What you'll be doing:
* Ensure projects are financially sound, with accurate tracking of income, costs, and profitability
* Deliver key insights into customer profitability and margin performance
* Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency
* Provide financial analysis to support and challenge programme office decisions
* Set, monitor, and report on key financial and operational targets
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
* Assist with year-end audits across multiple entities
* Monitor and manage warranty claims and contract cash flows
* Contribute to month-end close activities and margin analysis
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and national security frameworks
* Recommend and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
What you'll bring:
* Recognised accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
* Experience in a similar project accounting or commercial finance role
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a small, agile, and high-performing team
* High attention to detail and integrity
