What you will enjoy doing
* In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and monitoring of our plants on a 24-hour basis.
* Responsible for investigating plant issues, managing plant disturbances, reporting plant performance issues, KPI monitoring, and alarm management.
* You will be responsible for plant start-up situations to ensure customer demand is managed appropriately to minimize cost to the business.
* Carry out plant efficiency evaluations to identify plant performance issues and make appropriate recommendations for improvements.
* Furthermore, you will operate the plants to minimize any process safety implications and ensure key metrics are upheld.
What makes you great
* You have a minimum qualification: HNC in electrical, instrumentation, chemical engineering/process subject, or relevant extensive experience of operating in a chemical processes environment, preferably involving distillation.
* You have experience in a control room operation environment using process DCS interfaces such as HMI software (SCADA/PCS7 Siemens).
* Experience working with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
* You are a self-starter with adaptability and curiosity to ask questions, use data, solve problems head-on, and challenge.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* You work with integrity, role modeling behaviors aligned with being a safe and inclusive work environment.
* If you have plant commissioning experience or experience in an oil, gases, or chemical process environment, this would be an advantage.
