Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our fire and flood restoration team. This is a physically demanding but rewarding role involving the clean-up and remediation of properties damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mould. You will work on-site to support specialist technicians in restoring residential and commercial buildings to a habitable condition.
Duties
* Assist in the clean-up and removal of fire- and water-damaged materials from affected properties
* Operate drying equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration tools under supervision
* Perform basic demolition, strip-out and preparation work as required
* Clean and sanitise fire- and flood-damaged structures and contents
* Ensure workspaces are safe, tidy, and in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Load and unload materials, tools and equipment from vehicles
* Support technicians in moisture monitoring and fire residue removal tasks
* Follow all company protocols and client requirements while on-site
* Accurately complete job sheets, logs, and inventory forms as needed
* Follow health and safety protocols and attend regular training sessions
Requirement
A full UK manual driving licence is required
Skills
* Previous experience in a labouring, construction, or restoration role
* Ability to work in challenging environments (e.g. damp, smoke-affected )
* Punctual, dependable, and a strong team player
* Attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
Desirable:
* Experience in fire and flood restoration or disaster recovery work
* A full UK manual driving licence is essential
