Conveyancing Assistant – Leeds

The role
The firm is now looking to recruit a Conveyancing Fee Earner Assistant to support a busy residential conveyancing team. This is a key role within the business, providing hands-on administrative and operational support to ensure transactions progress smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work closely with an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner and be involved in all stages of the conveyancing process.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting the Conveyancing Fee Earner with a caseload of residential property transactions
* Preparing and drafting legal documentation including contracts, transfer deeds and completion statements
* Carrying out initial due diligence on titles, searches and contract documentation
* Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files in line with regulatory requirements
* Coordinating property searches and related documentation
* Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
* Monitoring key deadlines including exchange and completion dates
* Responding to client queries and providing progress updates
* Supporting workflow management, diary organisation and appointment scheduling
* Updating partner and client portals
* Keeping up to date with changes in property law and conveyancing best practice
* Contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment
About you
This role would suit someone with prior experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to build on their skills within a specialist environment. You will ideally be:
