Main duties of the job
You will be required to work an average of 48 hours per week, including on call for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Airedale General Hospital and within the Airedale catchment area if required.
The post holder will participate in a 1 in 8 middle tier non-resident on call rota. There is an on call room available on site. The on call night is followed by a 24 hour post duty day off.
Responsibility for the rota rests with the senior middle grade.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Basic Medical Qualification (e.g. MBBS or MB ChB)
* Part 1 MRCOG
* General Medical Council Registration (GMC
Experience
Essential criteria
* Completed significant years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or have equivalent experience and competencies.
* Experience in emergency Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
* Evidence of ability to perform both Obstetric and surgical procedures to a high standard without immediate supervision
