Salary: £26,853.02 per annum
Location: Leeds
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
A leading food manufacturer is currently seeking an organised and proactive Engineering Stores Coordinator to support their Engineering department at a fast-paced production site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong stock control, purchasing, and administrative experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Manage stock levels for engineering parts and materials
2. Raise purchase orders and process goods received through the maintenance management system (MMS)
3. Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and documentation
4. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments across multiple sites
5. Coordinate external service visits and ensure contractor compliance (permits, sign-ins, etc.)
6. Support asset control for site machinery
7. Monitor and report on budget, stock usage, and KPIs
8. Assist in internal/external audits and ensure documentation is kept up to date
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a similar engineering stores or stock control role within manufacturing
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Confident using inventory systems and spreadsheets (MMS experience desirable)
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, finance, and engineering teams
* A methodical approach to managing stock accuracy, aged stock, and reporting
Key Performance Indicators:
* Stock accuracy and minimal aged stock
* Budget control
* Inventory and PI (Perpetual Inventory) listings
* Supplier performance and price competitiveness
* Audit readiness and documentation compliance
