What is the role?
We're excited to be recruiting a Group Sustainability Analyst to join our dynamic Group Sustainability team. Reporting to the Group Carbon and Sustainability Reporting Manager and working closely with our Group Sustainability Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and driving our sustainability agenda.
This is a highly varied and visible role, offering the chance to collaborate with colleagues across all Group functions and operating businesses, as well as engage with a diverse range of external stakeholders. You'll be at the heart of meaningful change, helping to embed sustainability into everything we do.
The position offers hybrid working and is ideally suited to someone within easy reach of one of our Midlands regional offices, with occasional travel across the Persimmon businesses to connect with teams and projects on the ground.
What you'll do as a Group Sustainability Analyst
Engaging across the business in the collection of a wide range of sustainability data, undertaking analysis and providing high quality reports. Working to improve the quality and effectiveness of sustainability data collection systems and supporting the development of procedures and processes.
Supporting the completion of a range of ESG reporting indices (including CDP, MSCI).
Assisting in the reporting of sustainability performance throughout the Group, liaising with all relevant stakeholders and preparing reports for Executive committees.
Collaborating with a range of external and internal stakeholders on our sustainability strategy to support the integration of sustainability practices into daily operations.
Working on our net zero carbon strategy and supporting on carbon accounting and embodied carbon / whole life carbon studies.
Supporting in the development and delivery of sustainability training and engagement, working closely with key internal departments to ensure an integrated approach. Engaging in sustainability and R&D projects to improve performance, working cross functionally across the business.
Supporting the development of internal and external sustainability communications, creating case studies and messages for marketing, external affairs teams, to ensure our approach promotes sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Tracking sustainability external trends and undertaking benchmarking.
What experience do I need?
Experience in sustainability, energy or environmental activities, either from consultancy, or relevant industries
Experience in data management and analysis (including Microsoft excel and PowerBi), and report production.
Operates with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in report writing, preparing presentation materials.
Excellent communication skills.
Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant subject
Ability to work with high productivity in a hybrid setting.
