Job Description
In this role, you will ensure the safe, compliant and efficient movement of materials and equipment across a highly complex engineering environment. You will coordinate logistics operations, run them smoothly and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and monitor logistics activities across project areas
* Act as the main point of contact for worksite logistics requirements
* Provide expert guidance on safe and compliant movement of materials and equipment
* Develop efficient transport routes and movement plans to support project delivery
* Support inventory management, equipment transfers and on‑site workflows
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers and project teams to keep operations running smoothly
* Prepare clear documentation and communications for logistics planning
* Contribute to progress meetings and provide logistics updates to stakeholders
Qualifications
* Background in logistics, engineering, operations or a related technical field
* Strong organisational and planning skills across complex or multi‑site environments; experience supervising work on high‑hazard industrial sites (nuclear decommissioning experience is a plus)
* Understanding of safety, environmental and compliance requirements impacting logistics
* Proficiency with scheduling tools, inventory systems and logistics software
* Excellent communication skills for coordinating across diverse teams
* Strong problem‑solving ability to support safe and efficient movement of people and materials
* Experience managing site‑based logistics challenges such as access, routing and scheduling
