A bespoke yacht manufacturer and global importer/exporter (c.£30m turnover) is looking to recruit a Financial Controller. The business delivers high-value, custom-built products to clients worldwide and operates in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence, reporting directly into senior management.
The Role
You will take end-to-end responsibility for the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and clear commercial insight to support growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own monthly close, management accounts and balance sheet integrity
Manage project accounting, WIP, revenue recognition and rolling cashflow forecasts
Provide clear financial insight and business partnering to the leadership team
Oversee UK and international VAT, duties and indirect tax compliance
Drive improvements to finance processes, systems and data quality while managing a small team
Skills & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent experience)
Experience in a Financial Controller / Head of Finance role within an SME
Strong background in project accounting, working capital and cashflow management
Experience operating in a multi-currency or international trading environment
Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working closely with Directors
