Control System Engineer - Bedfordshire (SG18)
Commutable from Bedford, St. Neots, Stevenage, Royston, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Sandy, Welwyn
Salary: £52,000 + Overtime + Bonus
Working Hours: Monday-Friday Days

Our client is a leading food manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. Part of a global group with multiple UK sites, this is one of their flagship growing operations.
They are seeking a Control System Engineer to join their site engineering team. Role & Responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining, repairing, and rectifying faults on all site electrical & electronic control systems - PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Network Systems, Servo Systems
2. PLC fault finding, modifications, and basic programming
3. Collaborating with shift engineering team on major PLC/electrical issues
4. Electrical installation, commissioning, upgrades on control panels, testing & inspections
5. Design & development of obsolete motion control systems, PLCs, network systems
6. Design & modifications of existing electrical systems
Requirements & Skills:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in controls/automation
* PLC fault finding & diagnostics
* Electrical installation, commissioning, testing & inspection
* Completed a Level 3 or higher time-served apprenticeship
* 18th Edition wiring regulations (beneficial)
* Experience with network systems, HMIs, servo systems
* Flexible attitude, willing to cover shifts if needed
* Experience in food manufacturing preferred but not essential
* Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of relevant codes/regulations
