This is an opportunity to make a real difference to every pet and every client - you will be the first face they see when they arrive. As well as looking after the reception area and ensuring a warm welcome, you’ll handle payments, process repeat prescription requests, and manage appointments.
You need to be organized, friendly, and calm in emergencies, with excellent customer service skills and a genuine love of animals.
Position details: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:00 - 19:00 at our Daventry practice.

Role Accountabilities:
At Medivet, exceptional care is central to everything we do. In this role, you will:
* Ensure the practice is ready for opening and closing, managing tills, card machines, alarms, voicemails, and systems.
* Manage emergency appointments, contacting clients to reschedule if necessary.
* Coordinate the practice diary to optimize appointment availability and skillset alignment.
* Maintain online appointment booking availability.
* Greet clients, update records, and carry out reception duties.
* Process repeat prescription requests.
* Promote the Medivet Healthcare Plan and assist clients with sign-up documentation.
* Keep online practice information current, including hours and staff details.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Excellent client-facing and reception skills.
* Experience working in a team and building positive relationships.
* Strong client care skills, remaining calm under pressure and being diplomatic.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload.
* Good numeracy skills for handling payments and cashing up.
* Experience with online appointment systems.
* Strong administrative skills.
* Trustworthy and responsible.
Desirable:
* Previous veterinary receptionist experience.
* Experience with social media or website content management.
