We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Paralegal to join our busy and well-established law firm based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive commercial property team handling a broad range of high-quality matters for local and national clients.
You will play a key role in supporting fee earners on a varied caseload of commercial property transactions, with genuine opportunities for progression and development.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with sales and acquisitions of commercial freehold and leasehold properties
Drafting and reviewing leases, licences to assign, rent deposit deeds, and other transactional documents
Preparing contract packs and supporting due diligence processes
Conducting and reviewing property searches
Managing Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other solicitors
Managing your own caseload of matters where appropriate
About You
Previous experience as a Commercial Property Paralegal (minimum 1 year preferred)
Strong understanding of commercial conveyancing procedures
Excellent drafting and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
