Competitive – £14.10 per hour
Qualifications:
Current valid SIA Licence (Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor) required, CCTV within 3 months of employment
Experience:
Previous experience in security, emergency response, or public safety preferred
Main Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Estate Patrol Team leaderand working closely with the Estate Patrol Supervisor and Facilities Service Manager, the role holder will be responsible for delivering a professional, responsive, and reliable security service across Ulster University Coleraine Campus.
They will ensure the safety of persons and protection of property, maintain high visibility, and respond effectively to incidents and emergencies in line with university and company policies, our Vision, and our Credo.

THE BASICS

Patrol and secure university buildings and grounds, permitting only authorised personnel.
Operate CCTV systems proactively to identify suspicious activity and preserve evidential footage where required.
Record all incidents, observations, and actions accurately in occurrence logs.
Report security incidents, system faults, and safety concerns promptly to line management.
Maintain and test security equipment; report any failures or deterioration.
Comply with SIA, Company, and University procedures and protocols.
Complete all required SIA and in-house training.
Contribute positively to the achievement of departmental and organisational goals.
