Senior Mechanic

Salary: £28,800 - £30,000 per annum

The company is a community bike shop operated by our client and offer an excellent service to central Londons cycling community by selling high quality pre-loved bikes and servicing bikes.
They encourage more Westminster residents to choose cycling by donating bikes, supporting organisations who lead rides & deliver confidence training, and helping people maintain their own bikes. They nurture new talent for Londons cycle retail sector by offering training and waged work experience.
The Role
* Dealing with customers bike repair requests with empathy, using plain language and offering options to suit their budget.
* Selecting, checking and repairing received bikes for resale and donation.
* Supporting the delivery of remote activities, such as Dr Bike sessions and offsite maintenance of customers bikes and E bikes.
* Making day-to-day practical decisions on how to refurbish and repair bicycles.
* Support customers.
* Share shop cleaning duties.

Skills and Qualifications
* An industry recognised qualification in bicycle maintenance at Level 2.
* Practical experience of working in a busy bike shop.
* Good interpersonal skills to meet the needs of customers and trainees alike.
* Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to understand and follow bicycle maintenance tasks to agreed standards.
* The ability to succeed in a target driven team to achieve contract outputs.
* Manage your own outputs and contribute to the success of the wider team.
