Do you believe the best support happens early? Are you passionate about working alongside schools and communities to make a real difference?

We’re looking for an inspiring Senior Family Support Worker (Community) to lead early‑help responses through our Team Around the School model—supporting children, families, and schools to thrive together. This unique leadership role brings you to the heart of your community, coordinating professionals, solving problems, and driving impact.

Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate early help support through school clusters across Lancashire.
* Work directly with schools, families, and partners to provide timely, joined‑up interventions.
* Act as the key point of contact for early help within your community.
* Build strong multi‑agency partnerships to remove barriers and improve outcomes.
* Support staff delivering community‑based services.

Qualifications

* Experienced in early help, family support, or education partnerships.
* Confident in leading multi‑agency working and influencing others.
* Skilled in identifying needs and coordinating effective responses.
* Passionate about early intervention and prevention.
* A strong communicator who builds trust and collaboration quickly.

What You Will Thrive On

* Think creatively and find solutions to complex challenges.
* Feel confident working across systems and services.
* Bring energy, resilience, and a proactive approach.
* Be committed to improving outcomes for children and families.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'.

In return Lancashire County Council offers a range of benefits, which can be found on the LCC Vacancies website.

We reserve the right to close down a vacancy early, before the closing date, if we receive sufficient applications.
