Senior CNC Programmer – Precision Engineering

We are supporting a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a Senior CNC Programmer to lead and develop their machining operations. This is a key, hands‑on role for an experienced professional with advanced Fusion 360 CAM programming skills, strong shopfloor knowledge, and a passion for mentoring others.
You’ll be working across a range of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Haas milling machines as well as 2-axis lathes, producing complex components for clients in multiple industries.
Key Requirements:
* Experience programming with Fusion 360 CAM
* Hands‑on machining experience (mills and lathes)
* Strong knowledge of setup, tooling selection, workholding, and optimisation
* Ability to estimate machining time and resources for prototypes and small batch work
* Confident leading a small team and sharing best practices
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and decision‑making skills
Responsibilities:
* Create CNC programs using Fusion 360 from 3D models and drawings
* Set up and operate Haas mills (3/4/5-axis) and Haas lathes (2-axis)
* Produce one‑off and small batch precision components
* Support accurate quoting by providing realistic machining and programming times
* Mentor junior machinists and uphold quality standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop
