Swemko UK is looking for a proactive and organised Purchasing Administrator to join our close-knit office team. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of our engineering business, with a strong focus on purchasing and supplier coordination, alongside general office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchasing activities including raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and chasing deliveries
* Communicate with suppliers worldwide
* Maintain purchase ledger
* Maintain accurate records to make sure goods arrive on time
* Assist with processing delivery notes and sales invoices
* Work closely with both suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations
* Contribute to general office administration and team support
Requirements:
* Previous experience in purchasing, administration, or a similar office-based role
* Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude and flexibility
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience with Sage or other accounting software is beneficial but not essential
