Ranworth PCN is pleased to be looking to recruit an advanced nurse practitioner working within the Acute 'on the day' service. This position is offered on a full-time basis however part-time will be considered. This role will be based at the Kennedy Way Medical Centre but will be travelling to all the practices within the PCN. Working autonomously within the primary care team, duties will include; Assess, review and evaluate the needs of patients Deliver treatments or refer patient as required Prioritise the patients within the service Providing necessary treatment including the use of non-medical prescribing and/or patient group directions in line with local/national policies, procedures and guidelines as appropriate. Medicines management, leadership and case management. Manage and act upon clinical triage between 8am and 10am each day Carry out duties to include; suturing and/or fracture management Maximise patient’s health and reduce risks that contribute to ill health, thereby reducing unnecessary admissions to acute services About the Candidate The successful candidate will have the following q ualifications, skills and experience; Registered nurse (NMC) Experience of working within primary care and as a nurse practitioner Post graduate diploma or degree (advanced practice qualification) Qualified nurse prescriber Qualified triage nurse Possess a minor illness qualification Advanced clinical assessment skills Excellent communication skills Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations Sound clinical reasoning and decision making About Us Ranworth Primary Care Network, is comprised of Caradoc Surgery, Ranworth Surgery in Clacton-on-Sea, Green Elms Health Centre in Jaywick and Kennedy Way Medical Centre in Holland on Sea.
