Your new role
This is a varied role, reporting to the finance leadership team with an emphasis on technical accounting skills and making a key contribution to the delivery of accurate and timely statutory accounting information. If you have a talent for numbers and a passion for bookkeeping, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Main duties and responsibilities will include managing the cashbook – posting, reconciliation and analysis, monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash management, as well as assisting with accounts production for charity & not-for-profit organisations, maintaining the fixed assets register as well as journal preparation, posting and account reconciliation to support management accounts preparation. Alongside this, you will analyse and investigate key data in the P&L, as well as ie and expenditure. You will be assisting in preparation of year-end information and liaising with the auditors. Ensuringernment and legislative submissions are accurate and timely.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring at least 2 years' experience in a finance role, have a focus on bookkeeping, knowledge and experience of the full suite of Microsoft Office ( especially Excel), as well as practical experience of finance and ERP systems. You will bring a positive and enthusiastic approach and demonstrate excellent engagement and customer and stakeholdermunication skills, as well as your ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment. With a confident approach and excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge diplomatically when needed, your innate ability to plan and manage changing priorities will ensure you can work well to deadlines – both internally and externally. It would be great if you also had experience w orking with year-end auditors.
