An excellent opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, with days from home, and in the Darlington office.
Key Responsibilities
* Outbound calling to identify and win new business across your region using cold calling and proactive sales techniques.
* Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals.
* Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support and spotting upsell opportunities.
* Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, moving prospects through the sales cycle with a consultative approach.
* Build long‑term client relationships through expert advice and exceptional service.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite.
* Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong communication and influencing skills – confident speaking with business owners and decision‑makers.
* Outbound calling experience – comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and creating opportunities.
* Proven ability to secure new business over the phone – skilled at asking the right questions, handling objections, and closing deals.
* Ability to grow and nurture existing accounts, spotting upsell opportunities.
* Exceptional customer service – committed to delivering a seamless experience every time.
* A consultative, client‑focused approach – listening, learning, and tailoring solutions to client goals.
* Proven B2B sales experience (advantageous) – or a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – digital and print knowledge is a plus, but full training provided.
* Able to commute daily – based within reach of the office and happy to work collaboratively on‑site.
