About the role
We are seeking an experienced Gas Responsible Person to join a defence contract at RAF Brize Norton. This is a standout opportunity for a seasoned commercial gas engineer ready to step into a leadership role – taking ownership of gas safety compliance, managing a team of engineers, and acting as the on-site technical authority for all gas-related matters.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate a team of gas engineers
* Act as primary point of contact for all gas-related matters
* Carry out regular inspections and compliance audits
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
* Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans
* Lead, mentor and develop junior engineers
* Collaborate with departments and contractors on-site
What we’re looking for
* Proven commercial gas engineering experience
* Strong knowledge of gas safety standards and regulations
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage a team and work under pressure
* Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving ability
* Eligible for SC security clearance
Desirable qualifications
* Gas Safe registered
* Previous experience in a defence or high-security environment
* Relevant management or leadership qualifications
