Field Service Engineer - Hospital Ventilation Systems
Location: Field-based, UK-wide (No fixed location)

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum + Overtime + Overnight Rates
About the Role:
Are you an experienced engineer looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? My client, a leading provider of ventilation systems for hospitals, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining ventilation systems within operating theatres across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical environment, ensuring the safety and efficiency of hospital ventilation systems.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be field-based, with no fixed location. You will work on a 5-in-7 rota, with no more than 5 continuous days of work. Alternate weekends will be expected, but you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule. My client provides a company vehicle, fuel, and expenses, including hotels, ensuring that you have everything you need to perform your role effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining ventilation systems within operating theatres. You will conduct routine inspections, identify potential issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure that the ventilation systems are operating at peak efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of patients and medical staff.
You will be expected to maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, ensuring that all work is documented and compliant with industry standards. You will also provide technical support and advice to hospital staff, helping them to understand and operate the ventilation systems effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, or HVAC systems. While experience with ultra-clean ventilation systems is beneficial, it is not required. You should have a strong understanding of ventilation systems and be comfortable working in a hospital environment.
You will need to be a self-starter, capable of working independently and managing your own schedule. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet will be crucial in this role. You should also have strong communication skills, as you will be interacting with hospital staff and providing technical support.
