Teaching Personnel are recruiting an ALN Teaching Assistant to work within a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) in a primary school in the NP25 area.
This is a highly rewarding role within a well-established and experienced support team, working with pupils who have complex additional learning needs, including Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
The provision offers a specialist, tailored learning environment for pupils who require a different approach to education, with placements allocated through the Local Authority.

About the Role
* Support pupils within a specialist SRB setting
* Work 1:1 and in small groups
* Support children with Autism, SLD and complex needs
* Help pupils access learning through adapted and specialist approaches
* Support communication, engagement and emotional regulation
* Follow structured routines, support plans and behaviour strategies
* Work closely with experienced teachers and ALN staff

The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with ALN/SEN pupils, particularly Autism or complex needs
* Calm, patient and able to remain composed in challenging situations
* Strong understanding of structure, routine and consistency
* Able to build trusting relationships with pupils
* Proactive with a strong “get up and go” attitude
* Comfortable working in a specialist, high-support environment
* Experience in schools, care, youth work or support roles is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
