Working a shift pattern of 5 days in 7, including weekends and bank holidays

The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:

We’re hiring a Senior IT Onsite Engineer who brings solid technical expertise, sound judgement, and the confidence to operate as the trusted onsite expert for a key customer.

You’ll be the person they rely on day-to-day — the steady, highly capable technical presence who resolves issues quickly, communicates clearly, and supports less experienced engineers through your knowledge and experience.

As a Senior Onsite Support Engineer, you’ll naturally set the standard for quality, professionalism, and technical excellence within the onsite team.


You will:

* Be their primary technical contact and trusted expert
* Build strong day‑to‑day relationships and understand their environment inside‑out
* Provide high‑quality 1st & 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers, applications and more
* Troubleshoot confidently across Windows 10, Office 365, Exchange, Active Directory, Apple OSX/iOS and deployment technologies (SCCM/WSUS/MDT)
* Handle escalations that require senior-level technical judgement
* Support and coach junior onsite engineers, helping raise the overall technical bar
* Communicate complex issues in clear, straightforward language
* Ensure all activity meets Littlefish and customer specific SLA expectations
* Contribute to deployment work: installs, moves, upgrades, projects, device rollouts, and more
* Maintain strong documentation, best practice and high service quality
* Use downtime effectively for housekeeping, documentation and continuous improvement
* Supporting across Multiple sites
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Audio visual equipment
* Liaising with high profile members of the organisation and prioritising accordingly


Who you are:

* You’re someone who takes ownership, steps in proactively when things need direction, and helps keep the onsite function running smoothly.
* Previous experience in a senior onsite support engineer role
* Strong technical breadth across modern workplace technologies
* Confident troubleshooting of Windows 10, O365, AD, Apple, hardware, and deployment tools
* Excellent face-to-face communication skills
* Ability to explain complex issues simply
* Calm, structured and methodical approach
* Previous experience in an IT support position (1st/2nd line)
* ITIL Foundation
* Microsoft certifications
* Understanding of networks and patching
* Experience in structured ITSM environments
* Strong, demonstrable problem solving ability
* Confidence working unsupervised, managing your own workload
* Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, simple language for customers
* Calm under pressure, with strong ownership and customer management skills
* Hands‑on support experience across modern technologies:

o Windows 10/11
o MS Office 365 & Exchange
o Active Directory
o Apple OSX & iOS
o Printer/Desktop hardware
o Intune/Autopilot/ABM
o Network skills, Servers, AP’s, UPS
