A highly regarded and growing national law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor or CILEX-qualified Lawyer to join its expanding Home Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) team.
This is a dynamic and varied role providing expert legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters to corporate clients, internal stakeholders, and policyholders, particularly those covered under legal expenses insurance and employment-related products.
This position offers flexible working arrangements, with the option to work fully remote or hybrid from the Leeds office.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an employment law specialist to take on a diverse role that includes both external client-facing responsibilities and internal HR/employment law advisory work. You'll handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters and provide real-time advice via helpline services, while also contributing to internal legal strategy and policy development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of employment disputes and advisory matters (litigated and non-litigated)
* Advise on internal employment law matters affecting the firm’s own staff
* Provide legal guidance through a dedicated employment law helpline
* Maintain compliance with internal SLAs, procedures, and regulatory requirements
* Assist in the review and development of internal employment policies and HR processes
* Support complex employment law issues with technical supervision where required
* Contribute to legal tech and system improvements related to employment law delivery
* Provide internal and external training sessions on employment law topics
* Deliver high standards of client service and maintain proactive communication
* Identify and escalate employment-related risks as appropriate
* Analyse employment law MI (management information) to support strategic planning
About You
You will be a confident legal professional with strong technical knowledge of employment law and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, commercially minded environment.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor or CILEX (Member or Fellow), or an experienced employment law practitioner
* Proven experience across a wide range of employment law issues, both advisory and contentious
