We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to lead our team and ensure that Royal Carehome continues to provide outstanding care and support to every resident.
The Role
As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the daily operations of the care home. You will ensure compliance with CQC standards and all regulatory requirements, while leading by example and setting high standards for care, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the home's operations to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
* Leading, motivating, and developing the staff team, fostering a culture of respect and excellence.
* Developing and reviewing person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Overseeing medication administration, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance.
* Building strong relationships with residents and their families, promoting trust and confidence in the care we provide.
* Coordinating with healthcare professionals to support residents' wellbeing.
* Ensuring staff rotas are well-organised and provide safe staffing levels.
* Proactively addressing concerns or complaints in a sensitive, solution-focused way.
About You
The successful candidate will bring both expertise and compassion to the role. You will have:
* Proven experience in a management role within a care home, nursing home, or assisted living setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and support staff.
* Sound knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* A good understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and medication protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues.
* A recognised qualification in health and social care (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
