Sterile Services Operations Manager Preston

Role overview

As a Trainee Service and Validation engineer you will be trained on carrying out servicing, commissioning and repairing our client’s various equipment. This includes Microbiological Safety Cabinets, Clean Air Devices, clean room suite and various other LEV’s.

Key tasks

* Responsible for Service and maintenance of Clean Air Devices and Cleanrooms to ISO14644, Microbiological Safety Cabinets to BSEN12469, Fume Cupboards to BSEN14175 and COSHH and other LEV devices, reactive calls to sites and various repair work.
* Working in a variety of NHS facilities, University buildings, private building, and private laboratory buildings throughout the UK.
* Installation of clean air devices and HEPA filtration.
* To carry basic stock to diagnose and repair breakdowns during first attendance.
* Responsible for van stock in the same manner.
* Carry out the compiling of cleanrooms reports and forward to senior engineers/Line manager for final checking.

* Demonstrate an understanding of what service delivery excellence is for your role, ensuring you deliver the basics correct every time, and are a team member where service is central to good performance.

Managing Risk

* Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impend your operations.
* Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business.

Managing Health & Safety

* Conduct any Risk Assessments and Method Statements, compiling reports in line with H&S requirements.

Liaising with the Head of Compliance to ensure any compliance as part of your role is in line with the framework set.

Criteria

Essential (attributes required for candidate to be considered)

Desirable (attributes can be trained or developed)

Knowledge and Skills (what you know and what you can do)

* Possess comprehensive technical skills to fault find and rectify.
* Basic plumbing skills and a good understanding of basic electrical work.
* Full UK driving license.
* Have a flexible approach to work. Be prepared to work out of hours and weekend when required.
* A DBS Enhanced (Criminal Records Bureau) check is required for all successful candidates.
* Use of PDA
* Knowledge of BMS Systems
* Excellent understanding of Microbiological Safety Cabinet, Pharmaceutical Isolator’s, Cleanrooms, LEV systems, Fume cupboards and other associated devices
* Excellent knowledge of BSEN12469, ISO14644, COSHH, BSEN14175 and preferably HSG258

* Good organisational skills and a Can-Do Attitude
* Able to use own initiative.

Qualifications

* We will need you to have a full UK driving licence as the role involves UK travel.
