About the Role
Adults Social Worker - West Essex (Expression of Interest) – Permanent, Full Time
Location: Harlow, Epping & Uttlesford
Salary: £37,185 to £50,081 per annum. Starting salary for a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) is £34,902 per annum, rising to £37,185 upon successful completion of the ASYE programme.
About You
If you share our vision, enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories, you might be interested in this role. You’ll be a Social Worker registered with Social Work England with a combination of creative thought, reliability and practical ability to get things done. You’ll have a broad understanding of statutory responsibilities and a commitment to meeting them in a person-centred way. You may have experience chairing meetings and you’ll have the ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework. A driving licence and car (or the ability to meet mobility requirements through other means) is essential as the role involves travelling around Essex.
West Essex covers Harlow, Epping and Uttlesford. The area borders London boroughs, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and has links to NHS partners, offering opportunities to engage in cross-authority initiatives.

Responsibilities (illustrative)
Work alongside people, families and carers to identify what will help them live their lives as independently as possible, within the framework of statutory Care Act requirements. Typical discussions may involve assessments, reviews, support planning and safeguarding, with a focus on listening and understanding what matters to the person and co-designing outcomes that work for them.
