We are looking for a highly experienced Research Data Analyst & Software Developer who will work with stakeholders and third parties at Trust and national level. Identifying and developing potential to further enhance research delivery. It is envisaged this role with set the standard for digital transformation of research across the NHS and NIHR.
The post holder will be the lead Research Data Analyst & Software Developer for King’s Research and Development department. Utilising informatics and data analytical skills to improve productivity, efficiency and validity in the research delivery setting. Working to develop automated screening and data acquisition to identify research subjects, collect data for CRF completion as well as to provide data analytics for presentation and report generating.
Main duties of the job
Research and Service Development
·Work together with member of the Research team and third parties to build tools to optimise data retrieval, patient screening and drive research efficiency. Manage and resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
·Support Microsoft SQL Server environments and processes, and ensuring the department’s adherence to their change and release management practises.
·Analyse user requirements and, based on findings, develop functional reports using SQL Server BI Package as well as other tools.
·Information Systems and Data Management
·Develop, document and maintain policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security are upheld at all times.
·To support change requests to existing reports and to maintain a system for handling and prioritising new requests.
·To ensure systems and data are regularly checked and audited for compliance with best practice and regulatory compliance, and lead on data quality.
·Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity in accordance with the Trust’s security policy on all BIU database and reporting systems.
·Ensure that backup and recovery plans are in place on all reporting database and reporting systems.
