Clinical Research Training Fellow (Fixed Term)
Apply for the Clinical Research Training Fellow (Fixed Term) role at Cambridge Service Alliance to undertake a full‑time, 3‑year PhD in cancer research.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a clinically relevant PhD project within the CRUK Cambridge Centre research groups.
* Attend regular meetings with Principal Investigators and present progress to the fellowship programme committee.
* Engage in clinical duties as required in the associated NHS Trust and University of Cambridge departments.
* Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and contribute to conference presentations.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified medical doctor (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) undertaking specialist training in any clinical discipline.
* Eligibility to practice clinically within the UK is required.
* Demonstrated academic potential and a strong interest in pursuing an academic cancer research career.
* Overseas applications are welcomed; international candidates will be eligible for reduced UCF as stated.

Interview
Fellowships will be interviewed by a panel of Principal Investigators from the CRUK Cambridge Centre. Interviews will take place week starting 5 January 2026.
Start date
The fellowship is expected to start on 1 October 2026.
The Fellowship is financed by Cancer Research UK and provides a clinical salary, consumables and University composition fees at the home rate.
