Job type: Permanent Location: Wrightbus Closing date: Thursday 12 Feb 2026 08:00 The Job Summary: The Supplier Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of parts and components sourced from suppliers. This position involves inspecting, testing, and verifying supplier deliveries and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. The Technician will also work closely with suppliers to address any quality issues and facilitate continuous improvements in processes and parts quality. Monday- Thursday 7:00- 17:00. Responsibilites: Inspection / Auditing Inspect and verify incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality specifications Evaluate non-conforming product and process through the Reject system. Evaluate new product and complete ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) process. Evaluate approve new / existing supplier through supplier audits. Provide information to supplier/sub-contractor, buyer, QA department regarding nonconforming materials / products. Provide support to Production by elimination of rejects from stock identified by QA or shopfloor personnel. Ensure all rectification/rework of materials is carried out and meets agreed standards. Continuous Improvement Communicate quality concerns and expectations clearly to suppliers and provide guidance to resolve issues. Work with the supply chain team to ensure timely and quality deliveries from suppliers. Conduct regular follow-ups on supplier performance, working together to resolve ongoing quality issues Communicate with all departments to eliminate defects at the source Provide feedback on any of the issues above to allow Quality documentation to be updated and to carry forward lessons learned. Soft Skills Ability to use computer systems such as office and app-based software Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail Be a competent practical worker and ensure safe, efficient use of all hand tools Willing to work in any other required area and on occasion be willing to train others General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality.
