Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming and sports coaching, with the ability to educate individuals of all ages in swimming techniques and water safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring that all participants feel confident and safe in the water.
Responsibilities
* Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
* Educate students on proper swimming techniques, water safety and build water confidence
* Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs of each student while promoting skill progression.
* Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
* Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
* Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, concerns, and achievements.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
Requirements
* Previous experience in swim instruction or sports coaching is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
* Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* A passion for teaching and helping others improve their swimming abilities.
* A valid DBS is essential.
