General Cover Teacher - Penzance
Location: Penzance and surrounding areasStart Date: September 2025 (or sooner)Contract: Full-time, part-time, or flexible supply workSalary: £140-£220 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a qualified teacher who enjoys variety and flexibility? We're looking for General Cover Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Penzance. These roles are perfect for teachers who want to focus on classroom delivery without the planning and marking responsibilities.
The Role
* Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups
* Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
* Support pupils' learning and manage classroom behaviour
* Adapt quickly to different schools and classrooms
* Provide reliable cover when permanent staff are unavailable
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to cover multiple subjects
* Experience teaching within secondary schools (UK curriculum preferred)
* An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
