Account Director - Paid Media/PPC

Denholm Associates is delighted to be partnering with 8 Million Stories, one of the UK's fastest-growing digital agencies, to recruit an experienced Account Director to join their expanding paid media team.
8 Million Stories works with an impressive portfolio of household-name clients including BBC, General Mills, Visit Britain, Tesco Bank and Trespass, delivering performance-driven paid media strategies across multiple markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior paid media professional looking to make a genuine impact within a high-growth, ambitious agency environment.
The opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, the Account Director will take ownership of a portfolio of high-profile brands, leading paid media strategy and delivery as part of broader digital and marketing plans. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, combining strategic leadership with day-to-day campaign oversight in a performance-led agency setting.
Key responsibilities
* Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal channel specialists
* Developing and implementing paid media strategies across multiple brands and international regions
* Overseeing and supporting activity across paid media channels including Google Ads, Meta and others
* Operating within a KPI-driven environment, ensuring campaigns consistently deliver against performance targets
* Managing overall budgets, forecasting and revenue tracking for client campaigns
* Staying ahead of industry trends across paid media, search, social and digital marketing
* Contributing ideas, innovation and strategic thinking to the wider PPC and digital roadmap
About you
* Minimum 4 years' experience in paid media account management, ideally agency-side
* Strong understanding of performance marketing and campaign optimisation
* Experience working with GA4 and associated analytics tools
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confident communicator, comfortable managing senior client relationships
* Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* GAP qualified (preferred)
