The Analyst will support the Environmental and Social Development (ESD) team in delivering the Bank’s Environmental and Social Policy commitments, covering project appraisal, monitoring, reporting, and verification across various sectors.

Corporate Sector Team
This role lies within the Corporate Sector Team, focusing on sectors such as Manufacturing & Services, Food & Agribusiness, Real Estate, Telecommunications, Media, Technology and others that require compliance with EU environmental legislation and good international practices.
Responsibilities
* Support assessment of ESP compliance and E&S risks, opportunities, climate, nature risks, Paris Alignment and green finance attribution.
* Contribute to monitoring, verification and reporting of environmental and social impacts.
* Prepare scientific, technical reviews and appraisals; develop methodologies and analyze data.
* Draft internal and external publications and coordinate meetings/events.
* Engage with stakeholders internally and externally; liaise with colleagues, staff and consultants.
* Improve internal processes, including data management, automation and standards.
* Adhere to the Bank’s Behavioural Competencies and Corporate Behaviours.
Qualifications
* Degree in environmental and/or social sciences, economics, engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Knowledge of environmental and social risks and international standards such as IFC, EBRD, Equator Principles, TCFD, TNFD, SSB, CSRD.
* Understanding of financing instruments, project due diligence and sector-specific environmental and social safeguards.
* Familiarity with operational countries of the Bank.
* Strong analytical, quantitative and research skills.
* Excellent written and spoken English, additional EBRD language (optional).
* Effective time‑management, multi‑tasking and organisational skills.
* Experience working in a multicultural environment and building stakeholder relationships.
