Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk
Our client based in Sunbury-on-Thames is currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team.
Location: Sunbury-on-Thames
Salary: Up to £27,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am
5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Job Type: Permanent, Office-based (not hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
Managing the purchase ledger from start to finish
Liaising with suppliers and resolving queries in a timely manner
Assisting with payment runs and ensuring accurate record-keeping
Supporting general accounting duties as required
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a purchase ledger or accounts assistant role
Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail
Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Experience in the freight or logistics industry is preferred but not essential
This is an office-based role with no hybrid or remote working available.
