Salary: £48,226 – £51,356 per annum Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) Location: Gloucester (with hybrid working) Contract: Permanent About the Role As a Principal Auditor, you’ll lead complex and high-profile audit reviews, providing independent assurance and expert advice that supports good governance and drives continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across partner organisations, influencing and challenging effectively to strengthen risk management and control frameworks. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and managing members of the audit team, supporting their professional development and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality audit work. About You You’ll be a fully qualified member of a CCAB body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAS) or the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA), with extensive experience in risk-based internal auditing within complex organisations. You’ll bring: Strong analytical, influencing, and communication skills The ability to lead and deliver high-quality audits A collaborative and confident approach to engaging with senior stakeholders Proven experience managing or mentoring staff A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development A driving licence and the ability to travel to partner sites as required is essential.
