So, what will I be doing?
In this role you will lead the analysis and definition of business needs across Yeo Valley’s digital and technology change portfolio, ensuring that solutions deliver measurable value and align with our strategic goals.
You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, IT Business Partners, and delivery teams to understand problems, capture requirements, and translate them into clear, deliverable outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure that every initiative starts with clarity, alignment, and a strong foundation for success.
Your responsibilities:
1. Lead business analysis activities across multiple projects, ensuring clear understanding of business needs and solution options.
2. Own the definition and documentation of requirements, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
3. Work closely with business leads and IT Business Partners to prioritise and shape new demand in line with business strategy.
4. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather insights, validate requirements, and align expectations.
5. Support business case development, defining expected benefits, success measures, and delivery dependencies.
6. Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, fit-for-purpose, and aligned to Yeo Valley’s technology roadmap.
7. Champion process improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate where appropriate.
8. Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring a common understanding of objectives, scope, and outcomes.
9. Contribute to the development of BA standards and best practices, mentoring others and sharing knowledge across the IT and business communities.
10. Support testing and validation, ensuring solutions meet defined business needs and deliver the expected value.
11. Track benefits and lessons learned, feeding insights back into future planning and delivery.

qualifications & experience
Essential:
12. Significant experience in business analysis across technology and business change projects.
13. Proven ability to elicit, document, and communicate requirements clearly to both business and technical audiences.
14. Skilled in process mapping, solution design, and stakeholder management across multiple functions.
15. Experienced in translating strategic objectives into actionable IT initiatives and user stories.
16. Strong understanding of project lifecycles and delivery methods (agile, waterfall, or hybrid).
17. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills, with high attention to detail.
Desirable:
18. Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain environments.
19. Experience with ERP (IFS), WMS, MES, or data and analytics programmes.
20. Familiarity with IT governance, architecture, and business case development.
21. Formal business analysis certification (e.g. IIBA, BCS Diploma, Agile BA).
