Join Our Team as a Water Meter Engineering Manager!
Are you ready to lead a dynamic team of water meter engineers? At Network Plus, we are looking for a passionate individual to manage our Water Metering contract for STW. Your mission? To ensure the successful delivery of metering projects while upholding the highest standards of customer service and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Organize and Optimize: Strategically manage labor resources for maximum efficiency, including recruitment and absence management.
* Resource Management: Oversee materials and plant resources to ensure smooth operations.
* Coaching and Development: Inspire and develop your team to reach their full potential.
* Team Engagement: Conduct regular briefings to keep everyone informed and motivated.
* Performance Monitoring: Ensure staff performance aligns with specifications and working instructions.
* Client Liaison: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders by:
1. Arranging and attending program meetings.
2. Meeting client requirements in a cost-effective manner.
3. Providing regular progress updates.
4. Collaborating with councils, surveyors, site managers, and client staff as needed.
* Resource Utilization: Maximize the use of plant and vehicles while minimizing material wastage.
* Process Ownership: Take charge of the overall process, implementing efficient working methods.
* Health & Safety Champion: Conduct inspections, raise safety concerns, and investigate incidents.
* Continuous Improvement: Utilize the GARD system to streamline operations and reduce costs.
* Accurate Reporting: Maintain plant sheets with precise information.
Experience and Qualifications
* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in computer applications.
* Utilities Experience: Background in the utilities sector is a plus.
* Financial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial awareness.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Driving License: A full UK driving license is required.
