About The Team
Extra Care Housing is for adults who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.
About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra care schemes as an Extra Care Support Worker. This role is for 21 hours per week, the shifts run from 15:00–21:30. The successful applicant will join a well-established team to deliver high quality care to individuals in their own homes. You will be working on a part time basis on a fixed 4-week rota which will include weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
* Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
* Promote tenants’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
* Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
* Provide support to access third party and NHS services
* Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
* Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives
About You
Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided.
